Team Banner
For the team banner we teamed up with Physics and Art to build the team banner. Starting with voting on a design, we managed to agree on a final design. Then, we looked at different color patterns in art by each class choosing their top rows of colors. Later, as a team we picked a final color pattern and arranged the final colors on the team banner. After that, as a team we got groups to cut a scaled piece of wood on the flag. When your group was able to cut the wood piece and sand it, you had the chance to paint it depending on how the team agreed on the arranging of colors on the banner. Ms.Quinny, our Physics teacher, put together the banner we all contributed in some way. Now we see this banner thinking that each person on the team put their hands on it as it is displayed in the 9th grade hall way.
In order to cut a piece of wood you have to know the measurements to scale it out. In Physics class, we learned how to convert measurements for example, an inch to a foot or a foot to a yard. We studied how to use multiplication, division, to convert what ever we needed to the correct measurements. This came in handy because we had to convert a specific part you were assigned to for your group to draw out, cut, and paint, 1 inch was 3 inches in real life. That is how the Conversion WKST #1 helped us transition to being prepared to do some dirty work for our team banner.
At the end of this project I felt happy and proud. I felt proud because every single person on this team has put their hands on this team banner. It is something that as a team we did. Throughout this project, I have been compassionate because I had compassion towards my group and everyone that I helped. I am a very compassionate person when it comes to helping someone in need and I love to be able to be at any use to anyone. I have learned how to create something with team work and effort and that makes me happy as can be.
