Nuclear Physics Project Description
This project was a mini rushed type. We had to get creative with this one with a partner or individually and come up with a way to explain essential questions. In a book, song, presentation, anything that you can come up with. In the process, we have learned all about radiation, nuclear fission and fusion, radiation, and the history of physics. This project connects to art, we had to pick an important physicist, research about them, and make an art piece about it.
What we have learned...

This is an example of the research we had to accomplish in order to start our creative project idea. We needed to understand and be able to teach others of what nuclear physics is.
|
This is the final draft of our creative project idea. We have wrote a fan fiction of the atoms taking place in nuclear fission and fusion. We took what we learned and had three days to accomplish it. It is a activity book.

In this project I have learned how nuclear bombs or weapons work because of the physics behind it. I have learned how in history, geniuses was able to do the impossible. How it changed the game of what a war is, how dangerous nuclear energy can be considering radiation humans can be exposed to. I learned that the race to nuclear was the reason we won the war. I can see why my teacher is passionate about physics, it is definitely something we can't see with our naked eye but it is truly out of this world.
Project Reflection
I would do this project again, 10/10, it exposes the creative side of students. It enhances the team work and effort in the team. Since the possibilities are completely endless, it is fun for everyone as well. What would I change? The time we were able to complete this by. I feel as three day wasn't enough though I am completely aware that our teacher wanted to move on to the plushy project. though for me it was a lot of writing, I do wish I hadn't have to stay all night doing so. I had a blast of coming up with all these characters for each of the lovely atoms that cause a star to glow or the sun to shine. I loved testing my creative writing side in a limited of time. I guess thats the real world correct?
